Cascade Energy Named No. 74 on the 2026 PEOPLE® Companies That Care® List

Employee-owned Cascade Energy earns national recognition in its first year participating

PORTLAND, OR, UNITED STATES, August 17, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Cascade Energy has been named one of the 2026 PEOPLE® Companies That Care®, earning the No. 74 spot on the annual list presented by PEOPLE magazine and Great Place To Work®. Cascade joins honorees including Delta Air Lines, Wegmans Food Markets, Camden Property Trust, Publix, and Salesforce.

The list recognizes organizations that achieve business success while demonstrating exceptional care for their people, their communities, and the environment. Rankings are based on confidential employee feedback and on company-submitted documentation of workplace practices and corporate citizenship.

“We’re 100% employee-owned, so we all share in Cascade’s success, and you see it in how we show up for each other and support the communities we work in. It means a lot that this recognition comes from our own team’s feedback,” said Dan Brown, CEO of Cascade Energy.

Employee ownership shapes how Cascade invests in career development, shares business results with the people who generate them, and chooses the work it takes on.

Cascade's recognition also reflects employee-led community engagement. Across Cascade our staff volunteers with high school tech summit days and champion Cascade's partnership with iUrban Teen, which connects students from underrepresented communities to careers in technology and engineering. These dedicated Cascadians also run Cascade's summer engineering internship program in Portland, where students work alongside Cascade engineers on energy projects.

Cascade's environmental impact runs through its client work. In 2025, the company delivered 978.6 GWh in energy savings for industrial and commercial clients, enough to power roughly 89,000 U.S. homes for a year. That result brings Cascade 76% of the way toward a long-term goal of 8,000 GWh saved by 2028, a target the company set to help ease mounting strain on the nation's power grids as demand accelerates.
